Jake...  is another gorgeous collie x boy, very similar to the lovely Blue (who we’ve just rehomed!).  Unbelievably, the poor chap has been kept in a windowless shed at the bottom of a garden for the whole of his 9 months.  But he is astonishingly unscarred by it  - and it’s obvious Jake has not been abused, just neglected.

Jake is a sweet, bright, playful, athletic, eager-to-please, affectionate youngster who will need an active home and training (he learns very quickly). He has a lot of agility potential. He loves people but needs a little more socialisation with other dogs.  He loves the company of the two golden retriever gals in his foster home, but tends to bark at dogs he doesn’t know, especially if they’re male. He is not at all aggressive, but when older would be a natural pack-leader and so will need a reasonably -experienced home with boundaries and strong leadership so he doesn’t get too big for his boots.

Jake has come on leaps and bounds since he arrived two weeks ago thanks to foster mum Rebecca. He is house-trained, lead-trained and settles well in the house once he’s had his walk.  He is vaccinated and neutered, and being fostered in Wiltshire.

A terrific youngster,  brimming with potential and ready to go.  If you’re tempted, please email: info@blackretrieverx.co.uk

There is a minimum adoption fee of £100 for Jake, which includes the £65 it cost to transport him to the UK from Ireland.
