Louis... , ok, so he’s no oil-painting, and he might have a few years under his collar (we think he’s about eight years old) but that doesn’t make him any less deserving does it?  And chilled-out Louis is the PERFECT dog for someone who would love some easy, relaxed canine company. He doesn’t need much - just a loving , no-fuss home where he can hang out and watch the world go by.  He is currently in a rescue in Cork where he stands little chance of finding a home (most rescues say there is a lot of prejudice against black dogs) , so we’re really hoping someone in the UK will appreciate his quiet charms and come forward.

Louis is great on and off lead, shows little interest in cats - and isn’t as portly as he looks (most of it is his fluffy coat). He will be fully vet-checked before being rehomed.

The cost of transporting a dog from Ireland (which we organise) is £65 in addition to a voluntary adoption fee.

Update 9/9/07

Louis has been to the vet for a thorough check- up and apart from a little bit of stiffness and a touch of cloudiness in his eyes (pretty typical for  his age) he is in excellent health.
