Magic...  is a medium-sized collie/retriever x and a very pretty girl.  She is a typical, friendly, playful and affectionate youngster (we think about a year old) who loves people and is great with other dogs. She’s confident and shows no sign of ill-treatment but she’s probably never lived in a house so will need a home with time to dedicate to her training  Excellent raw material, though and we offer lots of help and support.

She reminds us a lot of Blue, who was such a star we could have rehomed him 20 times!

Magic is vaccinated and is being spayed this week. She will arrive in the UK next Tuesday and we are looking for a foster home for her where she can be properly assessed.

UPDATE 4/3/08

Magic arrived this morning and she’s a very sweet girl - no older than 9 months. She is also house-trained, walks well on a lead and has lovely manners both in the house and with other dogs.  As you can see, after some initial nervousness, she had a whale of a time playing with our Tickle this afternoon! She has also been very sweet with puppy Penny who arrived from Ireland with her this morning - playful but gentle.

We have now found out that Magic was surrendered by someone who no longer wanted her - but certainly not for any fault of hers.  She’s slightly food possessive, but I reckon this would resolve quickly and probably stems from her going hungry. She’s not ultra-thin, but could certainly do with a few more good meals. We suspect her tendency will be to chase cats and sheep but she’s a very trainable girl as she’s eager to please.  She’s very soft and loving but also fast and agile so we are looking for an active home for this stunner.

We do have a home interested in Magic, but if you’d like to be considered if it doesn’t work out, please email info@blackretrieverx.co.uk asap - and not least because we have a couple more very similar collie x’s on their way to us in the next couple of weeks.

There is minimum adoption fee of £125 for Magic, which includes the £65 it costs to transport her from Ireland.
