SHARIK... strange name (it’s Russian and pronounced Sharikee apparently!) but this is a LOVELY boy.
Sharik’s Irish family are surrendering him because they are expecting another baby and feel they cant give him the time he deserves. But their loss will be someone else’s gain, because Sharik is great - four years old, calm, friendly, well-mannered and terrific with children and other dogs. His recall could do with a bit of work, but he’s very good on a lead. His only dislikes are cats and he is very scared of thunderstorms and fireworks, so will need a home that can cope with that (we can offer lots of advice if needed). At his present home, Sharik is kenneled and spends much of his time outside, but he is fully house-trained and will quickly adapt to living indoors. (You bet he will!) There’s undoubtedly some collie in there so he won’t be a couch potato, but Sharik is the perfect lad for an active family looking for a pretty-much ready-made family dog.
Sharik is fully vaccinated and will be neutered shortly.
If you are interested in Shark, either as a foster or a forever home, please email info@blackretrieverx.co.uk asap.
There is a minimum adoption fee of £125 for Jack, which includes the £65 it costs to transport him from Ireland.
UPDATE 17/10/09
Sharik (now Frankie) arrived from Ireland 10 days ago and is settling in beautifully with his new family in Middlesex. Thank you to Phil, Lisa and children Chelsea and George for giving this loving boy his second chance at happiness.
