TRAMP... is a gorgeous  baby retriever x surrendered to Dundalk Pound last week.  She is just a puppy, we think about 4 or 5 months old.  She’s lovely, bouncy, terrific with other dogs and quite independent for such a youngster, which gives us some clues as to how she’s going to turn out when full grown.  You’ll note we’ve not called her anything too sweet...

Tramp is leggy and has huge paws so will be quite a large dog when fully-grown - at least labrador-sized.

We think Tramp has had to fight for food as she’s very food-orientated at the moment, and will warn off another dog that comes anywhere near her bowl .  This should resolve quickly, leaving a dog that will be easy to train.

She’s pretty good on a lead, stays close out on walks and comes when called. She isn’t at all clingy, and settles well at night on her own.

Tramp is full of promise but will need an active, experienced home, possibly with an older dog, where there is someone at home most of the time.  Commitment to training classes is a condition of her homing.

More pix to come early next week.
