SCAMP... is a gorgeous, seven-month-old black setter/retriever x (we think... possibly a bit of collie in there, too......) - a friendly, playful,  lively. well-adjusted puppy who has come into rescue because his owner is sadly too ill to look after him.

Scamp is looking for an active home where there is someone around most of the day and which can commit to his training. He is fully vaccinated and wormed but not yet neutered as he is a little too young.

Scamp is currently in Ireland but will be coming over shortly. The aim is to place him into a foster home where he can be properly assessed so we can be sure of finding him the perfect home.

UPDATE 24/9/08

Scamp arrived last Friday and has quickly settled  in with foster parents Christine and John who live near Gillingham on the Wilts/Dorset border. Christine and John adopted lovely Jenny (now Ginny) from us last year and this is their first foster for us. (Thank you!)

We think  Scamp is  a setter/small spaniel x - he looks like a  pint-sized black setter, and although still a youngster, he is not going to get much bigger.  He’s a real sweetie - an affectionate, active boy who loves other dogs, and is good with cats, children, adults.. you name it. He is also house-trained, great off-lead, has great recall and is eager to learn.

Scamp is a bright and agile young man who would be a wonderful addition to any active family. He’s still a baby so will need a home that can commit to continuing his  training and  one that will relish giving this young man the cuddles he adores.

If you are interested in Scamp, please email info@blackretrieverx.co.uk asap.

There will be  a minimum adoption fee of  £125 for Scamp, which includes the £65 it costs to transport  him from Ireland.
